Why would an all knowing god bother trying to convert those he knew never would? Some he preched to converted some never did, since he knew in advance why did he bother?

Seems like ineffective time management to me.

Many of you seem to be missing the point that as god he would absolutely know in advance who would or would not convert. Free will or not an omnipotent god would have to know all, that means past present and future.

Because he never existed and it was a dumb story written by primitive tribesmen who weren't exactly good with logic.

Because if you don't hear the message you cannot have the choice to believe or not. If you're going to go that route, why didn't Jesus just keep on living and preach deeper into Asia, turn all of Asia to Christianity? Then move on to Europe and Africa?

If you aren't believing in God because you doubt His time management skills... wow. That'd be a first for me, not sure how to respond!

It states in the bible that it is God's wishes that all will come to repentence, although he knows that will not be the case. It saddens Him. God loves all of his children, but He wants your love freely, not forced.

Would you not teach your own children right from wrong, and hope that you said or did something that would be a positive influence in their lives. That they would follow your advice? Your own children are different,in personalities and beliefs. They are not carbon copies of one another. One will grow up with different views than the other one. You do your best as a parent to lead them down the right path. That is all our Father is doing. He is there for the taking, He gives all an opportunity. The rest is up to us.

Time management is not a particularly pressing issue to God, or so logic would dictate.

It would appear that God respects Free Will so highly that He is willing to allow people He loves to reject Him rather than disregard their free will. If you were going to choose a God, wouldn't you prefer that sort of God, rather than some omnipotent bully that forces you to do things His way?

Everyone gets a chance I guess. He said He came for the worst of us, the sick and dying, the sinners and hopeless. I dont think that as the Son of God He was using the power of omnipotence anyway. He was just being human with us

Because of His great love for man.
He came to preach the Word to all. Even those who didn`t want to believe.
Others can pray for the unbelievers and some will convert.
As long as these heathens have heard and
choose not to believe, they will not be living
their eternal life in heaven.

God/Jesus does not choose to know who all will convert and who all wont. This is what is called Free Will. You don't need to be God to know that not ALL will believe and some will, even I know that. But God did not create people destining them for either Heaven or Hell. He gave the opportunity for both eternities to everyone.

There will not be one person in hell who will not be holding on to their resentment, jealously, hatred, anger, by their own will, when if they had repented and turned from their will to the will of God, who is completely fair and gives all men all the chances to repent and believe that they need, they could have been set free while they were alive on earth.

You never know who in the crowds were converted, or how it effect them later on.
Plus maybe they traveled and talked about Jesus and other people over heard who may never had heard.
There's plenty of things out there that we may not see or get, but it still has purpose.

Are you assuming that we don't have free will?

God said that He doesn't want ANY to perish (in hell), but that ALL should come to repentance. He said He takes NO delight in the death of the wicked. He even cried out, "Please choose Life, that you might live!" (Jesus said "I am Life."

Will you respond to His call? or will you become yet another sad statistic in the annals of human history of all those who went down to the grave without Jesus as their Lord and Savior? Honestly, the choice is all yours.

On the day of judgment, those who heard the gospel and rejected Jesus Christ, will not be able to claim ignorance as an excuse.
