Umm...... the nuclear family was from the fifties, now it would be the nuclear/chemical/biological family.

Advantage: the giger counter goes crazy the closer grandmother gets, so you know when to lock the door and take the phone off the hook. Disadvantage: we all look as old as grandma

The classic answer is that it provides both a male and a female role model. However, people raised in all kinds of settings seem to turn out OK so I think it is somewhat overrated.

they r the best as the grandparents in joint family take hours of lectures if committed any mistake
so I think nuclear family is the best
