I am in the process of getting my front teeth crowned. I was wondering which shape made a more youthful appearance?

HELLO,
THIS IS AN EXCELLENT QUESTION.
TOOTH MORPHOLOGY (THE WAY TEETH ARE SHAPED), DICTATES THAT WOMEN HAVE A SLIGHTLY MORE ROUNDED APPEARANCE THAN THE MORE SQUARED APPEARANCE OF MEN.
THIS MOST IMPORTANT FOR THE UPPER FRONT TEETH.

Women's teeth are usually a little more rounded. Call any dental lab in your area, when they make crowns they specifically ask (on their lab forms) if it is for a male or female, and their age(approx will do), this helps them decide how much anatomy to put in the porcelain of a crown, coloring or stain as well.
They will also look at the molds and the lab will try to duplicate the curves your existing teeth have as well, that way the crown(s) doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.

It is an alert attention that dentists are taught in the cosmetic dentistry training, an artful skill. Feminine teeth are best in a rounded shape while squarer teeth shape gives a masculine look. You may discuss these expectations with your dentist who in turn will instruct the dental lab and technician for a final result accordingly.
