Not if you want to be a Medic. Medics are ORs and you work your way up through the ranks.
Officers join as Officer Cadets but do not have Combat Medics only Professionaly Qualified Medical Staff.
However you could get sponsorship to go to University, what do you want to study - if it is Medicine or Nursing there are bursaries available and for many other subjects.
Try the following links.
By the way if you sense some animosity in some of the other answers that you have read, Officers are not seen in a positive light by everyone.
Alternatively you could try the Army out by going to a University with a UOTC (University Officers Training Corps) which will give you a taste of the Army without the chance of being called up, and with the opportunity to leave with only three months notice. Depending on your age now you could consider joining the TA (Territorial Army) whilst you study, where you could commence training as a Combat Medic as a part-time professional soldier, and, see if you like it before you join up for real. (Only three months notice required to leave).
Whatever you decide, I wish you all the best. This website is your starting place for all information.

You can join at a higher rank by passing things like a PT test and some written test but you will have to wait a certain amount of time before you can be promoted again, so it does not really matter. The most rank you can get is a E-3 or PFC (Private First Class) ... Unless you have a 4 year college degree, then you can join as a E-4 (Specialist), but if you have a degree then you can join as an Officer (O-1) Lieutenant.
I joined the army as an E-1 (Private). I mad by E-5 (Sergeant) in 2 years and some charge. If you work hard and follow directions and be a leader you can pass your peers even if they started with a higher rank then you.
If your thinking about combat medic, be ready to work hard and crazy hours. Also be really to be called, "DOC". Medics work and are attached to combat platoons (30 men). So every single day you will need to take care of 30 guys and make sure they are good to go. Being a combat medic does not make you saver and you work hard.
If you want to have fun go Infantry. (11B). Not much for you to do when you get out the the army beside a police officer or security but you will have best time in the INF.

Keep in mind that you will be away from school for a few years while in the Army and forget A LOT of stuff you already know. It took me one college year to get me back to college entry level and I was only active for 5 years.
If your grades are that good, why not go ROTC and get the Army to foot the whole college bill. You'll earn reserve pay while in college?
Other than that, grades have nothing to do with rank. Depending on the branch you go in, you can pick up a rank by signing up a few friends or doing well in basic. Some of the advanced schools will promote you to E4 after you finish your schooling... which is almost 2 years long. Talk to your recruiter WITH a parent along for help. Recruiters don't usually lie but they do hide the truth sometimes.

I was a combat medic during Vietnam. When you join the Army you enter as an E-1 or Private. It's up to you after that.

You cannot join the Army at a higher rank, you join as a complete novice and are treated as one. You will do all the basic training, and if you complete it, you will have your passing out parade. You are then a trained soldier. To obtain any higher rank in the Army will depend on yourself. With higher rank, a soldier is to show leadership qualities, and able to do his duty as ordered. You conduct will be assessed every year by your C.O. who will also consider any promotion prospects for you. Good luck in your future career.

They will take you on officer grade wit A levels, though you may wish to be sponsered by the army through your university degree. Try looking on their website
http://www.armyjobs.mod.uk/
for more information. I would also pop into your local mod recruitment centre for advice. Good luck

No. You start off at the lowest officer level and work your way up through to the next rank.
If you are especially gifted you can get accelerated promotion through the ranks though.
Even mommy can't fix it for the Royal princes.

God help the army and those under your command if you ever get a commission or become an NCO or hold a warrant
