Always start with the papers by the door.If you see it going take it there immediately The next step is out the door, you will have to take it out many times a day until you see when it really goes, usually after eating or being excited, overplaying, things like that.Always praise lavishly when the dogs gets it right and firmly(no hitting) say bad when he gets it wrong.Your dog wants to please and tries very hard.If its under 18 months old still a puppy no matter the size of dog.It has puppy ways.Over that age YOU being consistent will train him in no time!If you leave early take dog out early before you leave, take dog out when you come back after greeting, then every 2 or hours or so and don't forget to walk him daily a couple of times.Yes its alittle work but after all is accomplished your friend for life how good is that??Best there is.Dog lover.
