The biggest problem is that the full story is not getting out of Iraq. And - even worse - no matter what happens the liberals will spin it into a defeat.

Notice how the liberals refuse to even acknowledge the elected Iraqi government?

The United States is winning the war on terror in Iraq. The Cowards we are fighting won't fight like Men. They fight like the low crawling skum they are, sneak attacks, suicide bombers, hiding behind women and children, etc. The United States has the best Military in the world and if the Liberals would quit giving Aid and Comfort to the Enemy and would stand behind our troops and praise them for a job well done, the war would be over a lot sooner. God Bless America and its Troops.

To say the war in Iraq is won or lost you have to have some kind of definition of what a win would look like. I think that is the main thing lacking. General Petraeus danced around that one during his testimony. Rightly so, since conditions for victory are a political decision not a military. Sadly, we have a thin red line of heroes lead by fools.

a great deal of retired generals have spoken out and said the Iraq war is a quagmire and is not in our best interest

active troops have a policy of not appearing in political ads in uniform and are not supposed to criticize their superiors
Admiral Fallon, who is General Petraeus's boss, believes the surge has failed, and every other government report agrees the Iraqi government is a failure and the surge only improved the immediate area around Baghdad

The military training programs do not teach members of the Armed Forces how to surrender. They leave that to the liberals.

we're fighting a war by conventional means when we should, I think, be using diplomacy. Not with the terrorists, mind, but with Sunni and Shiite leaders so they can actually, you know, take care of themselves.

They know. Even Bush(subconciously) Knows. But they don't want to be catagorized by hardcore conservatives as a deafetist.
