Some Oral Surgeons won't place implants on SMOKERS because of the direct known link that smoking causes continued dry mouth (which is linked to periodontal disease eventually causing bone-loss, and in an implant situation the smokers would be behind the 8 ball to begin with, the implant needs to fuse to the bone and have time to do so, approx. 6 months) and smoking also can cause Oral cancer.
There is no link to second-hand smoke and implants and Oral cancer, it wouldn't have any bearing on the teeth, just your lungs.

Maybe not but who knows. You are not sucking on the cigarette and the nicotine isn't entering your blood stream so I can't say. To see what is said about actual cigarette smoking read this article.
