Set the date and then you can begin doing everything associated with the wedding. Setting a budget is first and then a place, and then and then and then. It will seem that the planning will never end. The dress is the easy part, go look for it tomorrow if you like. Good Luck.

I was told to order the dress 6 - 8 months ahead, so it doesn't hurt to start looking soon no matter how long your engagement is. I hated trying on the dresses, luckily I found the one I want on the first time I looked.
Congrats on Saturday and good luck

First, decide a wedding date and book the facility where you'll be having the ceremony. That's the first thing. Everything else will follow: decor, dresses, tuxes, etc. Depending on how long of an engagement you plan to have, I'd buy the dress closer to the wedding date than not... just because women's weight seems to jump around so much in a six month period.

Start now, you will soon see how much planning there is to do lol I've just been working for 3 months on mine and its still 9 months away and I already wish I had a few more years or atleast a few more people to help lol
first thing is to set a date and reserve the venue/s, just to make sure your able to have it when and where you want. then go from there.
Next, set your budget limit and work out where the money you have would be best spent.
www.brides.com has been a great help to me, as I'm pretty much planning this on my own. My future husband says "thats your day, you do what you want, my job is to say I do and thats it" lol

Well, you have to pick a date first so you know what type of whether you will be dealing with in deciding on the type of wedding dress you get. And then you need to reserve the hall and church and pick the caterer and what type of food you are having and after that you need to pick bridesmaids and the groomsmen and then go shopping for your dress and then the bridal party's clothes. And then decide on flowers and invitations. Good luck and God Bless.

It's never too early to start planning, better safe than sorry. Although you will find it easier to plan the big stuff once you set the date, so right now it's mostly window shopping. Of course things like dresses etc.. don't rely on the date.

Get engaged, then you two figure out a date, not on the same night, then when that's done you can start looking for stuff fitting into your time frame.
You aren't even engaged yet, don't count your chicks before they hatch.

Start right away. The sooner the better. I was a big fan of www.theweddingchannel.com. All of the wedding websites usually have timelines and checklist available. Check them out.
Congratulations in advance.
