whenever a guy or a girl says he/she is a virgin, people start laugh at him/her. i just wonder what so funny about being a virgin.

There is nothing funny about being a virgin. My husband was a virgin until he was 19 years old and to be very honest with you, I was quite embarressed that I had been with so many people before we go married. I was 31 when we married but still. I will tell you what someone very wise once told me and I did not listen becuase I was young and did not hear, It only takes one time for you to be like everyone else but they can never be like you again. Remember that if you can and stay true to yourself and when its your time you will know. Take care.

I don't laugh when anybody says that he/she is a virgin, and it's not funny. It's a personal choice, same as being a non-virgin, and I see no reason to quarrel or ridicule someone because of a personal choice that has nothing to do with anyone else's life.
I just laugh when people try to attribute said virginity to a core belief system indicating inherently superior values, respect, morals, or class than non-virgins. That **** cracks me up!

There is nothing funny about it, it is beautiful that people decide to wait but maybe they are laughing to make you feel as if you are missing out on something. The word peer pressure comes to mind, sometimes people will try to get you to do something so that you will fit in but really they are trying to get you to fit in so that they are fitting in. Get my meaning, if you ask most people who are not virgins they will tell you that they wish they would have waited. I think they feel ashamed that they didn't have the will power to stay a virgin.

Personally I don't think that there is anything funny about it. I consider it to be a very special gift that you will give someone one day. Maybe some ppl think that it's funny because they have had it with just anyone and they think that it is stupid to wait on that "right one." The right one makes all the difference in the world instead of just sleeping with anybody.
