You can have it wherever you want to get it, just tell the piercer where you want it. There is no rule as to where a second hole must go.

You could have yours higher than the first, your getting pierced right ? The 2nd piercing will always be in a straight line with the first because any 2 points make a line. Three linear points that really something.

I've never seen that. Maybe so they can wear tiny studs close together. You can have yours wherever you'd like for it to be. When I got a second ear piercing the person who did it just put it up higher than the first, thought that's the way most people did it. I've seen third ear piercings way up higher, on the edge of the ear instead of on the earlobe. that was a bit much for me, lol Each to his/her own.

When my daughter got her second she had it on the top in the cartilage. She now has about 7 in one ear and wants to get at least one or two more, then start on her other ear.
