No, you need to cook it more. Under cooked chicken is dangerous to eat.:)

For the record, its not blood. The red tinted water you see contains myoglobin, the pigment that causes blood to be red. Anyone who has any experience with butchering animals (or biology for that matter) knows that the blood is removed from an animal before it is packaged for distribution.

It is no big deal. The "white gooey stuff" was must likely a membrane or a softened vein. Just rinse the chicken it is fine. The "blood" (which isn't blood) is usually in the meat when there is some sort of trauma to the animal prior to death (no i don't mean they are torturing the animal)...equate this to a bruise.

The white gooey stuff was probably fat or membrane from the skin. That is no worry.

The blood is probably no big deal either, once cooked it won't be harmful. I would wash the chicken off before I cut it up.

Chicken is an animal. Animals bleed. When you buy steak, there is red "juice" in the package. It's not "juice", it's blood. If the chicken did not have blood, that would not be normal. Not harmful to eat after thouroughly cooking, but not usually very aesthetically appealling either. The white stuff is probably fat.

Next time boil the chicken first for a couple of minutes to get all that yuckie stuff out. After that make your would famous sweet and sour chicken. Enjoy !!!!

You can be defensive all you want; blood after cooking meats means it is 'Not Thoroughly Cooked!'
