I am trying to figure out how much my husband's check is going to be, because he ended up with more hours then usual. So, if we live in Iowa, and he has no deductions, if he has 112 hours at $8.24 an hour, how much should his take home be..??

8.24 x 112 = 922.88 (gross)

In my experience (we also mark no deductions, makes for a bigger tax return!), the withholdings are about one third of the gross, so the amount we normally bring home is 66%....

922.88 x .66 = 609.1008

For budgeting purposes, I'd use a round $600.

Witthout knowing what's on his W-4 form, or how long a period that 112 hours was for, it isn't possible to answer you except to suggest paycheckcity.com

Remember that some of that pay is probably at time and a half.
