The back and forth banter will continue, no doubt.

LOL If you've seen what I usually see here, it's going where most humans are going to h e double hockey sticks.
I don't try to convince the others. I just don't want someone so intent on telling me I'm wrong that they question every value I hold dear. Whatever happened to "live and let live"? If you've been paying attention, most of the questions are just digs at religion made by people who have none. Really sad, actually, that these questioners can be so angry at someone they've never met that they feel the need to put them down.
The cycle will continue. Will you still be asking questions 20 years from now? I hope I'll be in a better place in 20 years. People do change, after all, and I can't see answering the same questions over and over again as an impetus to remain here as long as that.

We're headed nowhere, fast. The only way to prevent the same questions from being asked over and over again is for knowledge to become universal, so that no one has to ask. In the mean time, keep a bottle of bourbon beside you, and a designated driver on speed-dial.

I would guess, the way things are going, this exact same question will be reposted in about 2 and a half months, not 20 years. It is a dizzying job, but somebody has to be here to yell at people we disagree with.

I think that it started out as a "find information" place, but now it's just another bickering match.
Unless people can learn to grow up and accept that others have the right to express their views without being attacked, R&S has little hope of change.

It is already there. People never seem to get tired of asking the same questions ad nausaum.
As some people get tired of it and leave, new people come in and take their place. It never ends.

No way of predicting. The answer seems to depend on what Yahoo decides to do in terms of enforcing the guidelines.
The new FAQ sounds as though they're making an effort and maybe listening to community input.

Don't you know we're not headed anywhere? always having the same questions asked, the same rude people making the same inappropriate responses....
IT will be the same...unless of course y!a fixes their "similar questions" function and makes people use it....but how will that happen?

Learning includes havibng new people; see the education system if you doubt me on that point.
There probably will be those that will not change (each 'religion' probably have those people) in this life.
Personally, I hope the others (self included) are open minded enough to see the deviations to God's word that are dividing 'Christianity' presently in this country and world wide. When 'we' change(grow) is up to us; afterall, our enemy is Satan, not our fellow human beings.

The dispute will continue as long as there are believers and atheists. Individuals will certainly come and go, but the battle will continue ad infinitum.
