The Bible says in Joel that in the end time old men will dream dreams. That said I believe that if one is filled with the Holy Spirit that is all the guidence you will need. As a minister I have found that most dreams come from the spicey meal you ate before you laid down. It is for sure a release of the mind in order to keep us sane.

I believe that it is both. The subconscious speaks to us in it's own language(dreams) and at the same time it is our spiritual connection with the universe.

Dreams can come true and God does speak to people thru dreams. And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: Joel 2:28, the problem is knowing when it God showing you something and the old devil messing with you. Sometimes you just have to wait and see if the dream comes true. Then you know if it was of God or not. I seam to get more Visions of things than dreams, I have had a lot of visions come to pass so I know God speaks that way, All we can do is study and pray and be ready to give an account of ourselves to God.

We dream in order to solve problems. We dream to talk to the dead, but we don’t usually remember that. We have prophetic dreams. We also dream just for the fun of it. These are the only reason I can think of.

Well, the Word of God seems to signify that dreams can have spiritual significance. Here's a list of some scriptures:

Gen. 20: 3 God came to Abimelech in a dream.
Gen. 28: 12 he dreamed, and behold a ladder . . . reached to heaven.
Gen. 31: 24 God came to Laban the Syrian in a dream.
Num. 12: 6 Lord . . . will speak unto him in a dream.
1 Kgs. 3: 5 Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream.
Matt. 1: 20 Lord appeared unto him in a dream.
Matt. 2: 12 warned . . . in a dream that they should not return.
Matt. 2: 22 being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside.

yes very much.... the Lord reveals so many things thru dreams.... he warns about future... gives burden for some one whom you need to uphold....so on.... Joesph, Jacob, Abraham, Joseph of new testament, Nebuchadnezzar, ...... just remember it's in proverbs out of too many thoughts dreams can occur.... But the Lord says in Joel in the last days your old men shall dream dreams and young men shall see visions..dreams can be fulfilled May be in your time... you can't work for it to fulfill but just pray about it..visions to be fulfilled you must work

If you understand that “you” are an immortal soul experiencing what it feels like to express yourself through the auspices of an earthly abode (commonly called a body), then you understand that “you” are NOT your body.

As to the spiritual significance of your dreams, consider that everything has spiritual significance. The designation of "physical" is a semantic convenience similar to calling water "ice" when the atoms of water are in a lowered vibration than when its atoms are in the higher vibration that we semantically call "steam". The substance is yet water. The "substance" of the physical is Spirit, without which there would be nothing "physical", semantically or otherwise.

So during the period in which you allow your body to replenish the energy necessary to keep it operating optimally (during the interregnum commonly called sleep) you understand that what you call “dreams” are really “you” CONTINUING to express yourself in environments which do not require the use of your physical body to operate within them.

Metaphorically, your consciousness corresponds to the different “vehicles” you’d utilize if you were traveling differing environments, such as in space, in the air, on land, or under the sea. The density of the environment in which you’re traveling (i.e. expressing) in determines the type of consciousness you utilize to express within it.

With that said, what you call “dreams” are “you” re-accessing the memory of expressing yourself while your attention was primarily focused on operating the appropriately specialized vehicle (i.e. body) within another environment. Some schools of thought consider these modes of expression, or "vehicles" to be "physical", "astral", and "causal" bodies. As mentioned, the environment within which these vehicles are used, as well as the environments in which you express yourself in them are all Spiritual. All is Spirit, not material.

Consider then, that when you have laid your physical body down for its periodic rest, “you”, now in another “vehicle” (i.e. body) of expression, so to speak), could consider the experiences you had while your attention was focused out of the “physical” body, to "only" be dreams themselves!

Each of those “environments” of varying density exist at the same time NOW, precisely in the same manner that the differing environments of space, air, earth, and water exist at the same time NOW. In this paradigm, the phenomenon called “déjà vu” makes more sense doesn’t it? It only SEEMS to you to be occurring at “different” times, because you are not yet aware of being anywhere else except the environment in which your attention is focussed.

…..that is, until you REALLY DO UNDERSTAND that you, as an immortal, spiritual being, created AS (not “in”) the IMAGE and LIKENESS of our Creator, are indeed EVERYWHERE AT ONCE.

….and that you do not live within a body….your body, and your multi-dimensional experiences, live within YOU!

When you consciously know and experience your Self as it really is, then you will finally "awaken" to the wonder and perfection of Creation, and to your freedom to express at any and all dimensions within It.

That is THE dream of spiritual significance that you are living...now!

No spiritual significance.

It is the subconscious working though the stuff the conscious mind did not resolve.
