I'm just a bit curious... as far as health-benefits go I know red wine has anti-oxidents and reservatol and drinking in moderation can actually lower the risk of heart disease and stroke, but I'm assuming since it's basically fermented grape juice it must also have high concentrations of vitamin C. So if I drink a lot of it can I skip the OJ?

According to my book of facts, red wine is not a good source of vitamin C. I suggest a morning screwdriver instead.

there is little to no nurtitional value in wine. it is about 100 empty calories for 5 ounces of wine. There is no vitamin c left after fermentation from the grape juice.

And you should skip the OJ and just have an orange. OJ is full of sugar and not that good for you either compared to an orange.

the vitamins get "cooked out". but studies have shown that alot of the antioxidants stay intact. fresh fruit goes great with wine. just dont drink too much and act silly
