Chemo is horrible. I had a nephew that went through chemo treatments for just over a year and he had a really hard time. Everything hurts and it is just not a pleasant experience. Your sister is going to need a lot of help and a lot of encouragement. Chemo is basically poison meant to kill off the cancer, but the problem is it attacks every part of the body, not just the cancer. The result is pain and sensitivity everywhere. Nausea, headaches, you name it.
I wish you and your sister the best of luck.

I have many stories about cancer but why is this in the PETS section? Everyone Ive known that has undergone chemo DOES get sick because the chemo doesnt know "good" cells from "bad" and therefore kills them all off which makes you sick and weak. That is to be expected. Im sorry about your little sister I know what its like to lose someone I lost my 14yr old daughter on labor day (not to cancer she had a seizure the killed her brain stem but was on the national waiting list for a lung transplant for 3 yrs) I lost my MIL on the 4th of November to breast cancer that traveled through her body and attacked her liver she died 3 months after it was detected. Trust in the dr's the treatments and whatever higher power you believe in thats the only advice I can give

I have a low grade brain tumor now that has returned for the second time. Yesterday I just returned from a large clinic in hopes of a different procedure to hopefully successfully have something done. I had a large mutt die of snout cancer, that was sad. If I could have taken him to the large well known clinic I sure would have!

I had it surgically removed elsewhere twice. No chemo needed due to it being encapsulated. The large clinic may be able to do a different procedure hopefully and no chemo....hopefully!

my uncle had it he knew something was wrong but he wouldent go to the doctor or tell anyone years passed he lost weight and looked terrible we then knew what was wrong because cancer runs on my moms side of the family by the time we actually got him to go it was to late he had waited to long, he did get to live for a couple of years after that, he took chemo to keep the tumor from getting bigger, but he was so weak he had to stop taking it eventually and he passed away a couple of months ago, we miss him terribly we think he could be here today if he had went to the doctor at the beginning, it has really hurt us all, my sons is having really bad issues with it, he breaks down all the time crying, they was so close, it had affected us all loosing him, the best advice if anyone think there could be something wrong or a change go to the doctor if you wait to long it could be to late, good luck and God bless..

I lost my beloved doberman, Hannah, aka Hannah-banana, to lymphoma 20 years ago. When the quality of life was so bad, I had her euthanized.

Not that I recommend euthanasia for people - which is why you should have posted this under the HEALTH forum. This is the Pets/Dogs forum.

Chemo is rough. It can make her anemic and extremely tired. Her doctor needs to know about how she feels because there are things they can do to help her feel better.

Good luck!
