It's called self-control.

I had the same problem once myself. I just told myself that eating those doughnuts would give me a body that looked like the people eating them (harsh, but it worked for me).

I had the same issue this morning.. I saw a box on the table in the lounge, so I opened it and inside were a bunch of doughnuts.. I just remind myself that a few seconds of good taste are not worth a lifetime of fat on my body..

another thing I remind myself is how long it takes to burn that many calories.. I tell myself I could either eat the doughnut and then exercise for 1 hour to burn it off, or I could just not eat the doughnut..

Eat the doggone donuts if you like them. Heck, you only have one life, enjoy. However, if you really need a reason NOT to eat them, think about the health situation with the ones who brought the "donuts" to the job. If the folk appear not to be too sanitary, then skip the snack. You can always get whatever you want and under the appropriate conditions as well. Remember this, What shall we then say to these things? If GOD be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with BENEFITS, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. Peace, Love and God Bless.

Keep a plastic container at work and break one donut into 4 pieces and eat the other three gradually during the day, perhaps one for desert at lunch. Plan it in your diet.
Bring something with a lot less calories, I do a bag with Oyster crackers (little round saltines) and broken huge hard pretzels (easy since most are broken in box, it seems)
Bring a plastic container with hard crunchy stuff in small pieces - small carrots, celery, apple slices - that will keep for a day without refrigeration.

Drink plenty of water and bring your own snacks for yourself. Avoid being around the doughnuts and you should not have a problem trying to eat them.

I know what you mean becuase at work they do the same thing. I am only 123 lbs so i can afford to eat them. but what i do instead of taking the elevator i take stairs. Like that I will burn the calories. Also eat only one dounut instead of two. or try to eat the dounut with water so you will get full. Another great way just put a really minty gum in your mouth..

Just don't. The only value of a donut is the momentary taste sensation that goes away long before the effects of the donut. If you must, have 1 not more than once a month. Have snacks and drinks of your own to reduce the temptation.

Think of someone you really dislike and pretend that person brought the doughnuts in or look at pictures of clogged arteries and fat around the heart.

Try bringing in bagels or some other healthy alternative for everyone. Maybe that will spark some people to bring something other than donuts. If not, then make sure you have another sort of snack for yourself so you're not as tempted. =)
