I have naturally straight hair, have it trimmed every 6wks, use serum on it when i've washed it, yet when i go outside it goes mental! Where i live at the moment is 41 - 44'c during the day, any ideas of how to tame it a little, other than straightening it everyday?

i suffer from the same thing! i used to think straigthening was the answer but it used to make it worse! now i straighten my hair once a week and i let off of it for a whole.
Humidtity can cause your hair to go wild beucase it is trying to get mositure into your hair. Your hair is thirsty basically and one of combatting that is 1 minture deep moisture by andrew Colligne (think that is how you spell the second name) it is a wel known brand and has worked for me in the past.
Condionting is the key, it may not work at first but your hair might need alot of moisture, due to the heat of where you are, and therefore will take a longer time.
combing your hair, i have found, also helps to calm it down a bit if you use a bit of hot oil in your hair and then brush it through.
Hope this helps

I live in Alabama right now where humidity can top out in the 80%s and a few times it was in the 90%s. I have had luck with Schwarzkopf's Got2B Spiked gel (Wal-Mart) and Garnier Nutrisse Sleek and Shine serums. I have used them together as well as individually. I put on a little sleek and shine then work through a little of the gel in my damp hair. If you're using them together, use less than recommended for each or else your hair will feel greasy and weighed down. Then dry as usual. I use a round plastic bristle brush.
John Freida's stuff never worked for me.

Yes, the humidity can make some peoples hair go wild and get frizzy. Use any kind of frizz control shampoo or conditioner. That should help. If that somehow doesn't work?. go to your hair styler and ask what to do.

I hate that! I get my hair looking sleek and smooth and have tried so many frizz/straightening products until I step outside for about 10 minutes (or less) then BAM frizz everywhere! The only thing that kind of works is pantene smook and sleek cream..Good Luck!

I have pretty long hair, I like them but I actually think I would have them reduce short in about some two years

Usually, that is too long for me. I consider it depends on the guy and also his face though. Certain guys can pull off long hair and other people can't.

Mizani has a hair spray for humidity, you should try that. And you would have to buy it from a salon or online, try e-bay.
