I know I've seen on Dr. Oz a million times what it is supposed to do...but I can't remember.

I realize that floaters mean high fat content...but I thought that was maybe good, because it means you are getting RID of the fat rather than absorbing it...clarify please

Actually it really doesnt matter. As long as it isnt greasy, or REALLY foul its all good.
It is an indication of whats in there in a lot of ways. But it is not an indicator of health.

Floating poop means you're getting plenty of fiber ( a good thing ) so maybe your husband needs to eat more oatmeal so HIS poop will float too..

Generally a floater means that you have been eating a good amount of fat, which is not in your body's best interest. It would be better to have a sinker, which would indicate that you are eating more non fat foods. If you have eaten a lot of vegetables and gas causing foods, like eggs & onions your poop will float due to the air and gas in it, but generally it floats because of a high fat content.
