Utility... Sport Utility Vehicle.
Of course I have to LAUGH at about 75% of current SUV's that have NO "utility" to them !!
I grew up with VW buses of the 60's-70's... which actually had MORE Sport, more Utility than almost any current SUV.
I also once owned the "orginial" SUV... a 1979 Toyota 4WD pickup with a camper-shell and ski-rack
