Why is it that you are so private while being so boisterous?
I'm an open Pagan, and I allow email. Some of you will not even permit people to see other questions you've asked or answered. Is it fear? You preach your god's word, but will not permit an engagement or actual 2-way conversation?
Would Jesus speak on a hillside, and then secret himself away to prohibit contact with those who disagree?
WWJD? Run away and hide?
OK, some people here can be less than kind, but if your skin is so think that you allow this to bother you, why preach in the first place?
Or might it be that you love creating havoc, but don't wish to experience the anger or hurt feelings that you cause?
If you are going to say things that you know for certain will hurt and anger others, do you not think it fair be available to defend your position and to have it challenged? Is your position less than defendable?

I'm certainly pleased that you can find a typographical error so amusing. But thank you for pointing it out anyway. You'll likely have noticed that even a spell-check would not have prevented that error.
Just so people know, I recognize that there is the possibility of hate mail. I've even received a death threat, which threatened the lives of my children. The point is that it is simply email.
If you wish to preach to people, and you've disabled email, you also are preventing people from contact who might have serious questions about your faith. You preach Jesus on your soap-box, but are then unavailable when someone wishes to talk to you about it.
Yeah, you'll get people who are angry, but that will be less likely if you can disagree with people in a civil manner. That's what good communication skills are about.

I'm an atheist but I only recently opened up my email on Y!A; I've been "Kicking around" the net for quite a while and there are some seriously deranged people out there - If it turns ugly again, I'll remove my email

I totally agree with what you're saying, and I am a Christian! It's sad, and Christians should judge less, and not just talk Jesus, but show Jesus.
My email address is available and always has been. Contact me if you wish, i will respond. I do get a few "fake" interests. ..people pretending to be interested in learning but really just wanting to mock me. However, the way i see it, when they do this, a tiny "mustard" seed is planted.

This is not a chat room. There are debate forums for that sort of thing. This is a Q&A forum.
I guess that most people don't really want to get a lot of mail, because they don't have time to read all of it and respond, or else they really don't feel like reading a lot of hate mail from immature, argumentative stalkers who won't go away.

I learned long ago, to my sorrow, that there are some real psychos on the internet. I'm not interested in giving out my email address to a would-be cyber-stalker. I mean, have you read the stuff some of these folks here post???

"...but if your skin is so think..."
LMFAO.
Although I'm not on R&S much, I have disabled e-mail because I don't want to feel guilty for not answering someone's e-mail asking about personal stuff.
Just answering form an outsider's point of view.
FTW.

Of course it is fear. I am not "boisterous" by any means, but I have seen many folks aound here that I would not want to hear from.

hahaha wow.. hiding your email does not have anything to do with being christian. Some do some don't. That's as dumb as saying white people won't permit people to see other questions or answers but black people do lol wow.....
