It sounds like a brand of prescription medication.
Congrats on fatherhood.

If you really want my opinion , I think it stinks ! How could you DO that to a child ? Remember . SHE`S the one that has to go through life with a ridiculous handle like that .... not YOU !
Besides , I think the name of my cholesterol medication is "Vichitra" !

How do you pronounce it? Maybe I am a bit old fashioned but I like the old names. Most of these new names just don't make any since to me.If the name is printed out I can't pronounce it and if the name is said then I can't spell it. Sounds like a lot of trouble for the child.

What difference does it make what everyone else thinks? If this is a name that you believe blesses your daughter, then stand by it.

Really? What's it mean? I just sort of think she'll have to correct everyone on pronunciation for the rest of her life. Happy new baby, though!

In the US she will have to spell it out everywhere she needs to provide her name. It will be a bit annoying for her but I think this cannot be changed.

She's going to hate you when she's 10, and she'll be spelling it for the rest of her life, if she doesn't just shorten it to "Vicky".
