I can very much sympathize, and for someone dealing with emotional inner turmoil, feeling ostrasized or "trashed" makes the situation a whole lot worse.
I have spent time thinking about this, and the only conclusion I have come to is that you cannot change people. They are going to have their perspectives of you. Some will have negative, some will have positive. All you can do is work on yourself, and make yourself happy.

The best idea is to ignore them and avoid them if possible and be careful who you disclose your condition to. there is a huge amount of stigma attached to mental illness even though there should not be as your disability is not an inability to succeed in life.

Is this at work or college? Because if it is, you need to talk to your supervisor or boss as it is unacceptable and inequitable and illegal. If it is else where, perhaps you could see legal aid about discrimination and slander suits.

Some people are just very mean. They belittle other makes themselves feel good. Trust me they have worse issues than you. Avoid these kinds of people. They inject toxins into your psyche. Find new people to hang with. People who are positive and will see you for who you truly are. You need people who will encourage and support your efforts. Work on improving your emotional strength. Well those types of people suck!! If possible try not to have anything to do with them.. What do people think of them?? Do most people know that they treat others like this? Are they known for spilling bull-crap?! Surround yourself with positive people. People that know the good sides of you. I have bpd too.. So **hugs!** At the worst try to ignore them and what they say. It's hard but possible. You can be above them..

Go to a higher authority that has the power to do something about this. Tell this person exactly what these guys are doing. They need corrective action.

Well, first off, who are these people? are they people who claim to be friends? there's an old saying, 'with friends like that, who needs enemies...people do that to everyone, not just you, to everyone..there is always someone out there to spread vicious rumors and carry tales...and that is dispicible, to God and to Jesus..so, you could politely, tell them,..you know,..you're not my friend, to talk to me like that..and so I think that it is best, that we no longer communicate...and them block them from getting in contact with you
