First Haircut...?

Question

Does anyone have any tips on giving my son his first haircut? He's 18 months old. Should I do it myself (I cut my husbands hair all the time) or should I bring him to a hairdresser? Are most hairdressers prepared to cut a toddlers hair?

Well, I don't know where you live but there are hair salons for kids only, maybe you can search were you live. You could also do it yourself BUT - unless your toddler behaves- you will need your husband or someone else to distract him or hold his head. Good luck

I would take him in and hold him while the hairdresser cuts it. I had to take my baby in three days old...she had so much hair. I would never trust myself to do it. If you want you can also see if there is a kid friendly place in your area that caters to kids. Good luck.

Who cuts your hair?
Unless you are VERY good, it is difficult to cut a little guy's hair. I'd take him to the salon, unless he is scared of new people/places.
I used to take my kids with me to the hair salon, the dentist, doctor, [ not for pelvics,and not if they were sick ] so they would know the things they did.
Result: they love everyone but the shot clinic.

there are some salon/parlors for little children where the seats look like the horses on a merry go round, a car, etc. and they have TVs too so children can watch cartoons while they are being done. find one near u
