I often hear pro-lifers talk about how unborn children have just as much worth as any other human... but somehow I doubt they really believe that.

What would you do in this situation....

You're in a clinic that is about to blow up... you can either save an unconscious up-for-adoption child... or you can save 600 embryos, each with say, 33% of becoming full healthy humans.

Which would you save? Don't come up with ridiculous "option # 3" scenarios for this question.

What is your reasoning for your decision? Note - either way, nobody will physically or emotionally suffer, the child is without parents & unconscious. The embryos, if chosen, will become 200 healthy people. (200 is 33% of 600... in case you missed that ;))

Mark S... you don't know me, and have misjudged me. I like jesussaves answer... All life is precious and starts at conception. When you give infinite value to something, it doesn't make sense to say that two infinities are better than one. Intro to Calculus ;)

Is it a Muslim terrorist that has the bomb? and how long do i have? And how would i know what the "inventory" of said imaginary clinic is? Am i a psychic christian? Murder is murder. Your looking for an argument. All life is precious. Life begins at conception. Are you pro- abortion? Then your a hypocrite cuz your alive. Practice what you believe.

I would go with the adopted child just because it has already been chosen. Someone may never get the other embryos, they may never get a chance to develop for any number of reasons. I am a Christian I believe in life but I also believe in free will, I don't have to answer for someone elses choices but I am responsible for helping someone else make as good a choice as possible. If I know someone contemplating abortion I try to get them to consider adoption because then she will not have to suffer the guilt of abortion the rest of her life. I realize it is their choice and their life and give them love anyway. Too bad lots of Christians forget that we all have free will and we are commanded to love and forgive everyone no matter what.

Even tho there would be 200 people, I would go for the child that is present.

This one is here. I would always live with the picture in my mind of this child that I left to save 600 embryos.

I consider myself pro-life. But your question about whether we believe that an unborn life is equal to any other, you set it up for anyone to choose the child. You asked a question so that you will be proved right. There is no answer that could be given in which you wouldn't rip us one way or the other.

If I had a choice to make I would save the child. Why? Because honestly, it would be stupid and cruel to leave the child there and grab the embryos. I AM pro-life. But, I am logical too.

Mark S. answer is very true.
