They're a lot wider and taller, so they'd probably rub really bad, especially in turns. Beyond that, the speedometer would be way off, and you'd need to buy wheels that fit on the Escort, and have them mounted & balanced. So it's not worth the hassle & expense for tires that won't work very well, if at all.

You cant put a 15" tire on a 14" rim. Now if you have the wheels and tires from the Buick, you will need to see if the offset and the bolt pattern on the Escort are the same. Going from a 175 to a 205 width might rub though especially since you are going up an inch in size and higher profile.

The Buick tires won't fit on the Escort rims as the Escort rims are 14" and the Buick rims are 15"

no, the tires are a different size, and even if you tried changing the rims out too, the bolt pattern is different. sorry!
