I looked online and it just said do not induce vomiting. I put her in her crate yesterday morning as I do everyday and she had really really ridiculously bad diarrhea. She had it again last night but it was just a tad bit. What should I do? It's been about 24 hours

DID YOU CALL A VET?????

My god, some people should not have dogs.

Why was the dog able to access the mop bucket to begin with? A responsible pet owner knows that household chemicals can be deadly to their pets...and are extremely vigilant in keeping them away from such dangerous things.

You should have spoke to a vet 24 hours ago.

EDIT: Well, that wasn't very nice. You know how often my dogs consume dangerous chemicals??? Never. Because they are locked up, out of their reach...and if they are in reach, they are in my hands. I'm not having a bad day at all...I just get frustrated when confronted with such irresponsibility.

EDIT: Ok...maybe I was a bit harsh. Call your vet and please be more careful in the future.

There should be an 800 # on the Pine Sol bottle, call them. Sounds like the effects are wearing off if her diarrhea is lessening. Give her plenty of water.
Lighten up Rachel, some of us can't be as perfect as you think you are =)

This is an article I found, I already give my dogs a little organic yogurt. But I think in your case it will help coat her irritated intestines and soothe them.

Yogurt with Probiotics for Gas, Vomiting and Gastric Distress in Dogs

8/9/2006: Amy from Odenville, AL writes, "My dog was having stomach problems; gas, weight loss, eating grass and vomiting. After about a week, we had blood tests and a complete exam with the vet, who could not say what was wrong. No parasites or worms, no organ problems. At wit's end, I thought about probiotics and yogurt helping people's stomachs. I checked, and yogurt is safe to feed dogs. My dog eats at least 4 tablespoons of yogurt per day and has not had any more problems; even his weight is back to normal. It is his favorite "treat" and my other dogs get it every day too!"

Good Luck =)

Ignore Rachel, I think she's having a bad day or something. Mistakes and accidents happen to everyone.

You probably should call a vet to double check, but there really isn't much they can do for diarrhea except to provide fluids by IV, if necessary.

Make sure she has plenty of access to water and try to get her to drink it. Buy some wet/canned dog food, she'll be more likely to eat it. If she just had a little bit last night, she is getting better already.

. in some countries a mop bucket full of pine sol is considered a delicacy

but here in the United State Of America where water is plentiful ... we see that as a poison and call the poison control number listed there on the bottle shortly after ingestion.

Good luck, dog will be fine, relax

After drinking any kind of cleaning agent, don't you think you should have ALREADY called the vet ? There is usually a 800 number on the back of bottles to call if the product was swallowed. You know poison info.....

What should you do? You should call your vet, tell him when it happened. How much you think was taken in by the dog, any symptoms you dog is having etc......

If she is 8 months old, this should be her first heat. Dogs will come into heat every 6 months. She could have an infection, She needs to be seen by a Vet ASAP, it could be life threatening.

You should have called a vet right away. Calling doesn't cost anything and vets are willing to give out helpful information over the phone. Call the vet and see if there is anything else you should do!!

Call poison control. They can tell you if it is poisonous, and what your vet will need to do.

You really should have called as soon as it happened. In the future, call right away! Waiting only makes it worse.

Make sure the dog has plenty of water. It'll work out of her system.
