It sounds like you have RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome)
Go see your Doctor. There is help for it.
Don't let it continue to interrupt your sleep any longer......see a Doctor.
When you have RLS you have to keep moving because of strange sensations in your legs or arms. A tightening, tingling. creepy crawly feelings are some.
Have your parents take you to a Doctor now!!!

Christine, I'm sure what's happening to you is very disconcerting.

I wish I knew the answer.

What I can tell you is this. Be very careful about whatever the doctor tells you at the appointment. He/She may or may NOT be right. It's pretty easy to go down the WRONG path with meds or surgeries.

Trust your gut instincts.

Something else you can take a look at is Somatic Experiencing. It's one of the best methods available for calming someone down and discharging a bunch of energy.

Good luck.

I had something similar to that - It was a nervous breakdown. Take some benedryl to help you sleep tonight. When you go to the doctor, ask for a psych referal and talk to a psychologist. They should be able to help you come to terms with whatever is bugging you.

sit your parents down and explain to them this is serious. ask to go to the e.r. asap. a stiff neck could be a sign of a serious problem.
