Mee-Gun? May-Gun? Never heard it pronounced either of those ways.
Well if you want to take the Lady Meg-an out for an evening, I would strongly suggest you NOT select a UFC event in the future.

As a former professional fighter and currently a certified judge I can tell you that sometimes the crowd or some of the people in it are not very nice, or let the alcohol get the best of them and they get sloppy with their language and actions. Also the violence of fighting brings out the worse in some of them as well. Others are just this way all the time and are obnoxious type people. You tend to see this in the cheaper sections of seating or moreso on some of the cards the small time local promoters put on.
This is just one of the reasons why Dana White and the UFC and other organizations like KICK are trying to instill a more professional approach with their cards, and fighters in hopes that it will carry over into this aspect as well as some others. Both of those organizations have certain requirements for promoters to put on a sanctioned card. I recently judged at a KICK event and they had a strong security presence there, and I saw the local police and security on hand go up to one table and ask them to settle down.
I would fire off a phone call or e-mail to the promoter since this translates into money and ticket sales and let them know. While you are only two people they may take a more serious look at what is going on outside the ring especially if there have been any other problems or complaints. I do also have to add that some people are just not cut out to be fight fans and while my wife enjoys boxing and kick boxing and will attend cards she is totally turned off by MMA and does not even watch it on television.

A little common sense would go a long way here professor. After all, it's called "ultimate fighting," and it's brutal. Add some beer into the mixture and just what would you expect? A holy hour with Mother Teresa?
There are so many other events, cultural and sporting, where a gentleman can take his lady out for the evening without being "accosted by vulgarity." But, maybe I'm just not catching the satire in your question.

I cover a ton of local fights, and I think the problem is even worse at these.
We're at the press table, cage side. The seats behind us are $110 a pop. For a local event, this is super expensive. And this guy gets completely hammered and the filth coming out of his mouth was appalling. He'd often inch his chair up until he was right at our press table, and scream vulgarities. Eventually, we were able to flag down a local officer, and the guy was escorted out. What amazed me was that his friends and family seated with him thought it was funny.
It's people like this that make me ashamed to not only be a fan, but a member of the media covering these events. People don't understand that the crowd that does this are not MMA fans. They are there to see a blood bath, not a sporting event. It's amazing when 2 fighters are grappling and are being called names and has their masculinity being questioned.
So, can you take your wife? Absolutely not. It will take some time for this phenomenon to calm down. Things like this still occur at other sporting events, even something as calm as baseball. Just go to a Cubs game in Chicago for a perfect example. But these other sports have been around long enough that more fans show up instead of people showing up just to drink. It's much more toned down due to the legacy the sports have developed over several decades.

UFC event? I take it from others comments this is like wrestling or something?
If so,.. well.. I kind of find it weird you would be bothered? Certain activities almost always include certain actions. Example, I hear going to bars can usually have flirting and dancing,.. even with others than your spouse. Ball games include screaming and yelling as a team performs well. It all comes as a package deal.
Why not dinner at a nice resturaunt, a movie, even a long walk together??
Question? Does SHE enjoy this UFC as well? Or was she just doing as many of us ladies do,.. sacrificing to do something we really care less about,.. just to be nice and close to the man she loves by participating in things HE likes. Personally I can'timagine someone being so HIGHLY offended by cursing and drinking, but enjoys seeing people punched?? Maybe ask and if so thank her for the sacrifice!

you are an idiot you took her more than one? what were you thinking? ufc fans are often idiots. if you love the sport then next time your in japan go to an event there because they are the most respectful fans in the world. no booing no geering and very little alcohol. they are so different.
otherwise just go to an mma event with your friends and take your wife out to the cinema for fun or maybe the opera or even for a nice meal every now and then. but as for a mixed martial arts event in america dont even bother because the fans are often bludlusting idiots

Well assuming you're being totally truthful (which it's very obvious you're not), its your fault.
If you don't want to hear obscenities from a crowd, you shouldn't go to an MMA or Boxing fight, an NFL game, an NBA game, or an MLB game. I love how everyone says MMA fans are all drunkards, yet they give football a free pass.
Too much at a UFC fight? Try a Raiders game. They're friendly.

it does get pretty unruly as the fans heckle. add beer and it gets pretty ugly.
i don't want to generalize but most UFC fans are male and are the brute "macho" type of guy. Some people think that putting a person down through words makes them better. Thats all I have to say.

I have never had the pleasure of attending a UFC event.
My wife would most likely love it as we watch it on TV together every weekend.
She doesn't like the blood. She does like the half naked men and the strategy. She also likes to bet on the outcomes with me, we use household chores instead of money
If Rampage keeps winning I may never have to vacuum again.

UFC is the type of thing that brings out rowdy people. A lot of the time sporting events in general bring out rowdy people. You're probably better off going to a play or movie. If you do go to UFC again, you should probably go with your friends.
