a person can do to lower their bad cholesterol and to raise the good without taking pills?(older person)Also a diabetic.

I've heard to lower the bad you have to watch what you eat. See how much cholesterol is in certain foods.
To raise the good, all I've ever heard is exercise.

Eating the old fashioned kind of oatmeal, the kind you really have to cook can rally lower cholesterol. I know that you said no pills, but taking niacin will also lower the bad and up the good tryglycerides. Good luck.

I have the same problem, but, I am not a diabetic. My doctor told me to eat certain, (healthy,) foods, and to exercise, more.
No more soda, etc...
