Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, reported:
Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: The (Last) Hour will not come till the sun rises from the place of its setting. And on the day when it rises from the place of its setting even if all the people together affirmed their faith, Do they then wait for anything other than that the angels should come to them, or that your Lord should come, or that some of the Signs of your Lord should come (i.e. portents of the Hour eg, arising of the sun from the west)! The day that some of the Signs of your Lord do come, no good will it do to a person to believe then, if he believed not before, nor earned good (by performing deeds of righteousness) through his Faith Say: "Wait you! we (too) are waiting"

Sassy that is also a great answer, if we have equality then only those with knowledge and wisdom are better in that format only. Ameen.

The sun is you, not the actual sun. In Islam there is great knowledge for those who can see and allowed to see. Are you one of them, the wise?

Funny you should say that. I read that most people raise certain people to a status so High, that they actually start resenting the persons. And then want to crucify them.

If he doesn't like that one then what about this one from a truthful man that always showed the truth. Or will they refute him also, as they did Jesus and Moses and every prophet before them. Peace to them all for eternity the saints surely marched in long ago! Al hamdoullah Rub Alameen!

Abu Hurairah has been a controversial figure in Islam, and if you study in great detail, you will find out that even some early Muslim jurists did not think he was a trustworthy source. So, I were you, I will accept this hadith with a grain of salt.

Religious reference aside...that's because they are PEOPLE...humans with human failings in addition to their gifts for lifting others up, doing good works, etc.

Yes they can fall, they're human, and being human ourselves, rather than sit back and critique them for their failings, we should give them the chance to set themselves right again and help if we can. And hope that down the line someone would do the same for us if and when the time comes.

So if the sun started rising in the west, that would mean the earth would be spinning the opposite way from what it does now. Hmm . . good one.
