As long as you are ordering something you know I like, or something I've asked you to order for me then I have no problem with it. My husband orders for me all the time, and has done so since we first started dating.
However, I wouldn't be surprised if most women respond, "I am independent I can order for myself" these days.

That depends. If you know our tastes and have been dating us for a long time, yeah, we don't mind. But if it's a first date, please let the lady order. If you don't, she'll never go out with you again because you ordered her frogs legs instead of the steak she wanted.

You should ask if a woman would like you to order for her and not just do it without her consent. She may be open to it if she has little or no experience with the cuisine in question (or if she can't read....hey, it could happen). But a woman who knows her own mind might be insulted.

Yeah i hate it when people order for me! I can talk for myself thanks.
And as a waitress its confusing too. Say you needed to ask if they wanted potatoes or chips - who would you direct the question too? And if you askd the guy who was ordering they would then need to ask the girl! Pointless!
The only people that can get away with this is my dad and people over 70 - its not their fault they come from a different era!

I do not mind if a man suggests something. I do not think he should order for me, though.

yes. What would u think if we ordered for u????
It either shows you like control..or that you don't have money (in which case you shouldn't invite the girl to eat out..but maybe a movie or a coffee).

I think it's nice when the lady tells you what she wants and when the waitperson comes you then order for the both of you.

just wait for the lady to ask you to order for her... or if not... ask her if she likes whatever you are planning to order... give her options, at least you would not take away all her independence...

it depends on if u know what the female eats. if u order her something that she is allergic to then my guess is that she would want to order herself the next time, if there is a next time. lol.
