That's what they do!
Have faith in imaginary invisible friend.
They're scared little puppies, aren't they?

I have found that keeping my faith has been difficult during many times of my life. Still to this day I see things happening around me that make me question my faith.
And, maybe you do honestly see it as may as well believe so there will be no consequences . . .that is not why or how I believe.
I honestly feel that I have felt God in my life, I do not believe Him to be imaginary and the benefits of having Him in my life today are much greater than the threat of consequences in another time.

"Proof" is weaker than you understand. There is
proof, just not the kind our small minds think of.
Humbleness is key - to having a spiritual lens
to look through - it becomes as clear, as plain
as day - no going back - take the "red pill or blue
pill" like in the movie Matrix (good analogy)!
Did the common folks have "proof" in that movie?
No, they were being deceived as we all are.
God is real - more real than "real"

I appreciate your question. It DOES seem easy, doesn't it?
It goes beyond worrying about if I'm wrong, though. It goes on the presumption that I'm correct. I don't consider my God to be imaginary. I believe that my God and I have a real relationship. I believe that I communicate with my God, and I believe that my God loves me and respects me unconditionally.
In response to the way my God treats me, I am called to treat others with unconditional love and respect, even if they disagree with me. I believe that all Christians are called to do that, and I can certainly see a lot of people on here who purport to be Christians and are NOT treating others with the unconditional respect that their God shows them.
Thanks for the question.

It's easier to have faith based on personal experience, and things unexplained. The teachings I have learned along with this formed my views.
Believing that one's self has all the answers, is much, much harder.

This faith does require proof, and the evidence of our faith is found in Scripture, as well as in the observance of nature.
The belief that all matter came into existence on its own, and that life sprang from lifelessness is blind faith.

First of all, God is real...He is NOT imaginary.
The rest of your question is null and void because of that truth.
The consequences of not believing are far worse........
