The best you can do is give a bath with a mild soap liek dish soap and as you have it wrapped in the towel take a flea comb or tweezers and as you remove the fleas put them in a bowl of water also with dish soap on the top of it and they will drown instantly. Your going to want to vaccuum often and throw the bags away asap to keep them from coming back into the home. Once the kitten is old enough get them on a flea treatment like revolution if they go outside.

I don't think there is any home made remedy for fleas.
You could go to one of the larger pet stores, and talk to the clerks... they would know what products are safe for your kitten, if you tell them its age.
Otherwise, call your vet, for good information.
The kitten needs to go anyway... fleas are host to the tapeworm, and the kitty probably needs a worming.

Start with a sledgehammer. You may need to shorten the handle a bit, but it works. I've tried it. You'll never have problems with fleas on that cat again.

You don't...call a vet...kittens are small and you could easily harm the animal...
