Probably about 10 seconds before I do, and he feels that if he is awake, then I should be too.

Mine were waking up at 3 and 4 am, after I got the new pup. I worked to get them on a different schedule. They're not getting up at 7am. However, I take them out a little later...our last potty run is at midnight or 1 am.

My Australian Cattle Dog wakes up like clock work at 6am. Kinda cool, of course this breed is always ready to go so I could probably take him on a run at 2 in the morning and he'd be OK with it.lol

As A dog owner all my life, I have noticed that they are very receptive, and seem to sense wen you awake, remeber they have ultrasonic hearing and are very sensitive to fear and forth coming weather storms, they also sense danger not in the sense off man made things like the motor car but intruders lurking, that's why wen your dog barks in the night never shout at it but reashure them, because there is always a good reason for there concern.

Mine gets up with me at 7:00 am, but groans about it every moring, goes downstares, and lays around for another 1/2 hour. It's funny to have a dog that is not a morning perso.... well morning dog.

2 of ours get up whenever we do without a sound or fuss. One of ours gets up at 5am everyday pawing and trying to tell me it is time for breakfast. I no longer have a need for an alarm clock!

Mine gets up between 5:30AM and 6:00AM. We established the schedule since I got her.
She sleeps with my son.
Week day, I wake up 5:00AM, take shower and get ready for work. Then take her from my son's room go outside to backyard around 5:30AM.
Weekend, I sleep late to 6:00AM, she already up, playing in my son's room while my son is still sleep. Take her out to backyard.
