Same reason as you are making a generalization about Christians. It is easier than dealing with each individual of the 1.3 million group.
And you must admit, by calling yourself a "Muslim", or by calling yourself anything else for that matter, you are generalizing about yourself, so quit complaining. It is safe to say that all Muslims believe certain things (that Muhammad was a prophet, there is only one God, etc.), so some generalizations are in order.
What does this have to do with the Protestant priest being expelled for being a Muslim? Christians believe that it is impossible to be two different religions at once, since only Christianity is true, so a Christian priest who tried to be both Hindu and Christian, or both Jewish and Christan, or both Buddhist and Christian, would lose her job as Christian priest as well.

A person can NOT be both episcopal and muslim.
To be episcopal, you must accept the true nature of Jesus. That is, He is the Son of the one true God, the Christ and the Savior.
To be muslim, you must reject and deny the divine nature of Jesus.
Explain to me how a person could be both at the same time.
Should I wait for an answer or come back in a couple of years?

If you go deep into Christianity like the examples cited above, you know that whatever Jesus preached Muslims are the ones who are following. So some priests who wanted salvation before their death started practicing Islam without the name. Some of them went to the extend of preaching that if you want to die as a true Christian, just follow Islam.
The reasons are this. Jesus prayed to GOD with his forehead on ground. Jesus was fasting for a whole month. These are all Islamic practices now.

Yes, indeed... Muslims are everywhere. They are in western countries as we speak, enjoying rights and privileges that they don't have in their countries of origin, yet complaining about generalizations, stereotyping or some other kind of nonsense. I don't know where you live, but Muslims around here do exactly that. Cry me a river, seriously. Muslims are the last people who should be victimizing themselves.

Christians that truly follow the bible are criticized for being narrow minded but the bible says in John 14:6 Jesus is the only way. That's pretty narrow. Most Christians don't read their bible let alone follow it. I Muslim that truly follows the Quaran becomes a terrorist and kills for their God. Most Muslims don't even read their bible and few follow it. SO if your true to your God you will witness (Christian, following the only true God) Or murder (Muslim following their false God)

Is there any reason so many Muslims make generalizations about Christians?
It's a two way street out there my friend.
