A child of god??????? We are all gods children.

They are the 144,000 of God's children that have lived in the old testament times and up until now that have over came in the 1st world age before the Great over throw when Satan rebelled,.......the Elect are those that fought against Satan when he rebelled before this flesh dispensation,.......''there was a time when all of the sons of God sang together for Joy.........it Say's that in the 40th chapter of Job.....give or take a chapter.

Yes we lived before,...it was the time before and during satan's rebellion,.....this was the time that 1/3 of God's children rebelled against him.........this is how God could say......Jacob i loved and Esau i hated.........he said this before they were born..........God knows his children,.....this is why God put us in the Flesh age to recieve salvation,.....he new exactely what he was doing.

God has put his Elect in stratigic Places through out man's history to preach and teach the word.

The Bible has many of those Elect...............and today there are some still remaining to help gather God's wheat (his children) into the store house.

These Elect could be called his set aside ones......they have a special purpose and they can show you the love of Christ and many mysteries of the world that was,......the world that is and the one to come.

I wish i could say more,.........but the time will come when many mysteries can be shared that wont cause people to stumble.

But most important is the love of Christ because LOVE will build a person up AND knowledge will puff up,............we must remember that when Christ returns only our righteous works will stand as a garment to clothe us...........I wish not to stand spiritually naked before the Lord. I wish to take on the garment of immortality!

P.S i would like to add,.......don't let any one tell you that only the 144,000 are the only ones to be saved ,.....it is not true,........these 144,000 are the one that will teach the truth and there will be many that follow,....and those that will follow are called the Ethnos.........the Gentiles,.....for they will be grafted in to the vine which is Christ.

Peace to you

THE ELECT

Matt.24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Well, it's a self-attributed title, isn't it... Whether the name one gives one's group is 'God's Elect", "The Chosen", or "The Master Race", there's little difference. Oppressed people, or those ostracized from society often turn to religion and find solace, and solidarity amongst themselves. This often helps them as a people to stand together, and over a period of time, after consolidation, this can lead to ardent and exclusive group loyalty and even nationalism. From there it's a short step to oppressing "different" people within one's territory, and eventually looking to expand one's influence. Of course this "necessitates" controlling others who think differently who are a "threat" to their way of thinking or their "Way of Life" as it's sometimes called. Always with the empowerment of Divine Guidance, of course.

In one particulary odd case, a substantial part of the population of Amarillo Texas, which is where the nuclear warheads for the US ICBM missiles were manufactured, created a religion for themselves based on "The Rapture" in The Bible. The doctrine consisted in believing that working in the atomic arms factory as they did, the adherents had been "chosen" to be the instruments (in building atomic warheads) of fulfilling the Book of Revelations' prediction of the end of the World, where it is consumed by fire. And that they, having so actively participated in the advancement of "God's Plan", would be rewarded by being the only ones saved from the final destruction: (swept up to Heaven at the last minute by Jesus Christ himself: "The Rapture".)

Thus, using the term "God's Elect" to describe oneself can be seen as a phenomenon -- even a symptom -- of hysteria. Not that dangerous in itself, perhaps: who doesn't like to pretend he's Superman? But the problem is that, as one sees in Amarillo, or saw in Nuremberg 60 years ago -- hysteria is a disease that can be very contagious.

The term "God's elect" simply means those who are chosen by God to be saved. Whether or not this person means "unconditional" election (such as the Calvinists assert) or conditional election remains to be seen.

He must be a Calvinist. They believe that only an elect few are predestined to go to Heaven.
