HA! NO! Lightning exists and can hit any building. Churches are full of sinners - we are all sinners. No person is perfect and holy. That's why we go to church, to find salvation. God hasn't used lightning to take lives (yet). He used water and fire. If my church got struck it would be because it didn't have lightning rods on top of it, not because God was smiting us. Get real!

that is a construction regulation. whether the church had cofidence, would not advise that is parishoners do. That lightning conductor is a lot extra probably to be hit than the atheists little abode down the line. So that is keeping the community.

Interesting you should ask. In my hometown, the really old (and beautiful) Catholic Church was struck by lightening, caught fire and burned to the ground. This happened 15 years or so ago, and I remember asking whether insurance would treat it as an "act of God."

Well if you knew that preacher like I do, you would take precautions too. The little devil, he probably needs to wear a lead suit out in thunderstorms too.

Thats a very witty observation!
But you presume that a building with a steeple is a 'house of God'.

the law told us to put a railing around our roof in case someone were to fall... God told us to take precautions.
