i'm sure that they believe that to be the case

im going through a great period, considered droppiong everything i was doing just last week and going through the ordeal of fasting in ramadan and strengthening my spirituality, im feeling much better about my circumstances

I am sure that some really mean it and I know that just as many people don't , they just say it because it has become a habit.

Most of the time, yes.But it often depends on who is saying it. Is it a good friend or family member? Most of my friends/family do mean it.
