James 1:2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. 4 But let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.
Romans 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have had access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only that, but we also rejoice in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces endurance; 4 and endurance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put to shame, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 into an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and unfading, reserved in the heavens for you, 5 who by the power of God are being guarded through faith for the salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 In which you greatly rejoice, though for a little while now, if need be, you have been distressed by various trials, 7 so that the genuineness of your faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes, though being tested with fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 5:6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares about you.
8 Be sober, be watchful; your adversary the devil walks about as a roaring lion, seeking someone he may devour. 9 Resist him, being steadfast in your faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.
10 But may the God of all grace, the One having called you into His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, may He Himself make you complete--He will establish, strengthen, and firmly ground you. 11 To Him be the glory and the power, forever and ever. Amen.
