My 2 year old daughter has been potty training and doing pretty well during the day. But she's been wetting the bed every night. I suspect it's a combination of 2 factors: 1) she tugs and pulls at the diaper in her sleep, causing tears and leaks; and 2) she sleeps sometimes in a weird position -- face down, butt in the air, knees tucked under her -- so the pee actually leaks through the TOP of the diaper, all over her belly and chest. Some people seem to recommend duct tape or doubling up on diapers, which we haven't tried. We tried pull-ups instead of a diaper last night, and that didn't help. Any advice? This is very frustrating....

Re: using better diapers, we use pampers cruisers and pampers baby dry. We've tried luvs, and apparently, they were rather thin and didn't work well. We've tried a lot of diapers, so I'm doubtful that there's a diaper out there that can solve the problem.

And we do have her go to the potty right before bed, but I admit we haven't been stern enough about cutting off liquids at a certain hour.

In addition to all of the other good advice that has been given, try night time diapers... we use Huggies Overnights. They are more absorbent than the regular diapers and have worked for my two year old daughter so far.

Luvs diapers are the best for leakage, plus they are cheaper. I dont know how you put her to bed, but just before take her to the potty. My 2 year old still has a milk cup, but she goes right before bed and usually I go wake her up first thing in the morning and the she pee's before anything else. so she stays dry. With any diaper it cant be too big or too small, if you have the right size it should work, no duct tape required.

Prolly bigger diaper, stop drinks after 6pm or a couple hours before bedtime, and a ritualistic potty trip right before bed. What is she wearing to bed? Can you put pants on her so she cant easily get to her diaper. I put underwear over my daughters diaper so she wont take the diaper off. Works good.

Try a different type of diaper. My grandson twists and turns all night and his diaper weighs a ton in the morning, but no leaks. My daughter uses Huggies Pull Ups.

become more stern about her fluid intake before bedtime, take her to the potty just before bed and again when you are going to bed a few hours later. Believe me she will not suffer from this bathroom trip. and to keep her from tugging and pulling the diaper down put her in a onesie. Yes they do make them in larger sizes you just have to look for them.

Does she take a bottle at night? If so try to get her off it: if not limit late night drinking and have her go potty right before bed. And do try better diapers.

She needs a bigger size diaper.
Also take her to the toilet just before she goes to sleep.

sounds like you need to buy some decent nappies!
that sleeping position is popular with kids that age, and no doubt a lot of them pull at the nappy, so I'd say you need to try a different brand, they are supposed to be made to withstand stuff like this.
