to spend more time with me and my fanily? he will not go around them and they treaty him very nice. i go around his all the time. what can i do to help him feel more comfortabe around my side of the family?

we have been together 9 years but it seems to be getting worse. he says it is because he does not like being around people but he goes to concerts and stuff like that.

Unfortunately, we can't control what other people do -- or don't want to do... even our husbands.
Maybe your husband has some sort of anxiety issue or he feels uncomfortable? You could ask him to find out...
You didn't say how long you've been married, either. If you haven't been married long, just give him time... and take care of YOU...

Hmmmm... that is difficult. How about having your side of the family over...and not all at once, maybe one person at a time to visit? Just for coffee or something non-threatening like that? Ask him to drop something off at your Mom's house or help with something there. Maybe he needs to feel like part of the gang before he can be more comfortable.

have your family come around your house a little more and let him see that they like his company....he probably just needs to do things in his own time...i've been married 21 yrs and my husband has only been to a handful of my family functions...we're still together...i still go alone

You know what, if you're a happy couple than just let it go.
You have to chose your battles. If you push and nag, it's just going to drive a wedge between you guys.
Just go alone and enjoy their company.

all u need to do is be acording to his needs and tastes .... and be pleasant all the times in his presence and quite often romantic if he likes it ..

He may be like me, hates visiting, nothing personal, just hates it, ask him to do it just for you.
