It's a valid question, but a sad one. It's sad it took people so long to see what the question was directed at.

Are you being controversial deliberately or do you genuinely not know the answer yourself? Leaving young children on their own under sedation could result in the child/children choking to death on their own vomit or bringing their heart rate down so low that they just stop breathing, which would result in death just in case you were wondering. It beggars belief that anyone would want to sedate their child anyway. Babysitters may be expensive depending on where you live but no night-out is worth putting your childrens' lives at risk.

A comment from the older generation, looking around during the school holidays, I think that some of them should be sedated all the time, and if it comes to that, some of their parents as well (sorry)

And if the child never wakes up? Then..........

Sure, why not? I believe there are jail cell vacancies in the Manslaughter/Child Abuse Wing just waiting to be filled with selfish parents.

Is life behind bars worth a night out?

*Edited to add: What did you think the responses would be?*

Yet another McCann veiled question i suppose, of course one wouldn't sedate your child to go out and anyone who does is acting in a criminal manner.

No that's what a baby sitter is for. Hopefully your just joking, but regardless this joke is of bad taste. You don't sedate kids for anything much less your own pleasure.

Its a big No! using a sedation is only used for treatment only & not for an escape

Why would you want to sedate your kids for a night out? They won't have any fun if they're sedated! ;-)

no! but my mam used to do that, give some baby medicine that would make a kid drowsy before they went out, so my gran would have an easy job babysitting. I can't remember it actually happening, but she openly admitted it.

I know of a couple of doctors which would be happy to recommend some for you. I believe the doctors names are McCann.
