Cut out the white stuff- sugar, flour, breads, potatoes, etc. If you have bread use whole grain, rye or sourdough. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Try to eat several small meals/snacks with at least 2 hrs in between. Make sure when you do eat that you have a protein, carb and fat with each meal. It could be just some wheat crackers with peanut butter or apples slices with cheese. Drink plenty of water. Stick to good fats such as olive oil or canola oil if you are not getting fat from your food. These are simple, doable things that you can incorporate into everyday life. Good Luck!!

Stay away from regular soda and pretty much most drinks with calories in it... I was drinking 2-3 bottles of Pepsi everyday... Thats 250 calories times 2-3... WOW! 500-750 calories... I worked my way away from that death by drinking flavored water... Then I tried a Diet Pepsi after 2 weeks and actually enjoyed it for the first time... That is 500-750 calories less a day!

I love my chocolate... I found these Glenny's 100 Calories brownies and I love them... They taste awesome, and I order a box of them at a time from the Vitamin Shoppe...

Eat more fruits and veggies... They will fill you up quicker, and they have a lot less calories than people would even think...

Also... Try to stay away from chips... I found Soy Crisps to be something I love... They are crunchy and come in several kinds of flavors (BBQ, Creamy Ranch, Lightly Salted, Sour Cream & Onion...) and taste a lot better (and are better for you) than even rice cakes...

Hope this helped...

Gut your kitchen of any junk foods; load your refrigerator with vegies and other healthy items; cut down on portions regardless of the size you are served, make lower calorie choices for meals in the home as well as out. Exercise daily if only 15 or 20 minutes, do something.

Watch what you are drinking. Soda is the enemy as well as fruit juice. Use a smaller plate when eating meals. Eat veges first, then the rest of your meal. Veges fill you up so you eat less. Eat breakfast to avoid hunger later in the day. When we are hungry, we tend to eat anything in sight. Lastly, it seems so simple, but pay attention to what and how much you are eating. If there is 4 cookies in front of you , you don't have to eat them all just because they are there. One will do, but often times we just eat without thinking.

I've been doing this lately and it's worked for me. You know how we are supposed to drink 8 glasses of water a day well for breakfast ,lunch, and dinner I have 2 glasses of water each meal and then after snacks I drink 2 or more so that's it and it's easy for me. When it comes to dinner Ill have fresh squeezed lemonade or orage juice. For veggies I try to steam and when cooking meats I no longer fry good I grill or bake

* Eat whole food
Top weight loss tips
Eat whole foods that are as natural as possible. When you eat whole foods that are full of nutrients your body will know how much to eat and how much not to eat. You do not have to count calories because your body is a wonderful machine.

* Eat fresh fruit
Eat at least two servings of fresh fruit every day. Choose whatever type of fruit is in season.

* Drink enough water
Drink the best weight loss supplement known to man, water. Most people do not know the difference from being hungry for food or thirsty for water. A great deal of times people eat when they should drink. Most likely you will not feel as hungry if you are getting enough water. You will be satisfying the thirst, which is confused for hunger. Water also helps you digest food better. Drinking water before you eat will help fill you up.

* Always chew your food
Always chew your food well. Chewing your food well will ensure that you get the most nutrients out of your food. Getting the most nutrients will satisfy your body therefore you will eat less. Another benefit of chewing well is that it helps aid in digestion.

* Take small meals
Eat small, frequent meals in a day. Large meals tax your digestion system, making it work harder. Taking too much time in between meals makes you hungrier for the next meal.

* Include protein at meal
Include good sources of protein at meal, chicken, fish, legumes, peanut, cottage cheese, eggs or yogurt.

* Shut off TV while eating
Shut off the TV whenever you eat – that includes meals and snacks. Studies show that we automatically eat larger portions when we snack in front of the tube, and typically those foods are high in fat and sugar, which means excess calories!

* Increase your physical activity
Increase your physical activity. Most people are over weight because of a lack of physical activity. Start walking more, bicycling, walks your dog for longer periods of time, swim, dance and leave the car at home when you can. It’s important that you choose a physical activity that you enjoy because you’ll stick with it.

Stop drinking soda that isn't diet only and fruit juice that isn't all natural. They're loaded with sugar and calories.
