Actually my brothers and I decided to find out if there was a taste difference. So we bought a can of coke and a can of pepsi.

Pepsi ending up being sweeter. We ended up dumping our cans of pepsi in favor for coke.

There is a definite difference in the flavor.

Pepsi has a sharp, very sweet, alkaline taste, while Coke has lemon and earthy flavors.

I definitely prefer Coke, though my guilty pleasure is RC Cola.
