I heard a dog can be as clever as a 4 year old child. My dog Mr.Pickles is quite smart, and already barks at my friend who is a practicer of wicca. I think he could even have a future on the evangelical circuit.
My question is, can I do anything to get him into heaven? I don't think it's fair.
look into his eyes (well, eye) ant tell me he's not goingto heaven.

I asked a similar question when I knocked over my Sea Monkeys. I killed a whole community of Brine shrimp and I received a violation notice for it.
In my opinion, your dog is a hell of a lot smarter than most of the people on this site.
I think you have a better chance of asking Mr.Pickles and getting an answer, than you do of most on here.
I'm an Atheist, But I do remember my Mum telling me when I was young, That my dog was in heaven, chasing cats.
Get Mr.Pickles a good agent and not only will he get on the evangelical circuit. ( If God does exist I feel sure this would make him squirm ) He will get the left seat at the hand of whoever.

Animals do not know right from wrong. They have instinct and they can be conditioned. To compare a dog to a 4 year old child is an insult to the human race. A child from younger than 4 knows more about right from wrong than any animal ever will. Children should not be conditioned, but they are taught and still have the opportunity to choose right from wrong. An animal just goes by what it knows or what it has been conditioned for.

If the church or religion organisation you follow admit that a mere dog has a soul and that it goes to heaven, they'd have to accept that every animal does, but that would bankrupt their meat industry when everyone turned vegitarian, so I don't think you'll get far.
Try Buddhism, Hare Krishna, or other vegeterian-only faiths.

He is adorable. But he can't get into Fundie Heaven, I'm afraid. Two reasons:

1. His name is vaguely phallic, so he is obviously a pervert.
2. That outfit is a bit "flamboyant". And you know how Fundies feel about anything flamboyant.

But, he will be quite happy in doggy Heaven, which my Mom assures me exists. =)

Animals aren't the same as humans, they don't have the same spiritual nature as humans do. Humans are created in God's Image; when the Word of God came to Earth, He came in the perfect mirror of God's image (Jesus) to live and die for humans that they, though fallen, might be reborn through faith in Him and be re-conformed to God. Animals on the other hand are not made in God's Image, therefore they are unable to receive Christ (the manifested Image of God) in the same way that you and I receive Him. Recognize that the whole point of the Word of God becoming flesh (Jesus), living righteously, dying, then raising glorified from the dead was not merely to "get people into Heaven" but to create a new form of life that merges man with God and God with man. (Jesus is now 100% God, and 100% man; 1 John 4:17 says "as he is, so are we in this world" - meaning that if Christ is the Second Person of the Trinity and we are His Body, therefore we constitute the man part of His new nature and "are" one with God!!!) Christ died for you and me; He did not die for the animals. If that was the case, animals would be able to exercise spiritual authority on a level of parity with God Himself - which they cannot do.

No matter how "smart" or even "cute" animals are, they are not entitled to the same honor that you and I are entitled to by faith in Christ. That's just the way it goes. There are animals in the Resurrection, to be sure; nonetheless, animals don't go to Heaven in the way you and I do. When a believer dies, they are brought to Jesus. When an animal dies, the breath of God that animates them leaves their body and simply returns to God Himself.

Ahhh, Mr. Pickles is a cutie! ;)

However, no amount of dipping in water or training will get Mr. Pickles beyond the "Rainbow Bridge", the doggy-side of heaven.

God has a special place in heaven for the pets we love. I don't think you have to worry about baptism.
