No one thing is going to help your anxiety. It is a complex issue requiring a multi pronged attack. Healthy diet (omega 3 is in flaxseed), plenty of daily exercise and leisure activities, and mood therapy as prescribed by Dr. David Burns:

Actually neither. The research shows that the most effective natural treatment for panic is inositol (sometimes called vitamin B8).
See the link below for info on how to take inositol, and explanations of the clinical evidence and research. It seems that inositol is better for panic than the omegas and also is very efffective for OCD.
Good luck - I also suffer from panic attacks and know how horrible it is. I am slowly switching over from the med I take (Klonopin) to inositol as it is natural and probably bettter for long term use as klonopin is habit forming.

Hi.. i've never heard of omega 3's to help with anxiety... just depression...
If you are having issues with panic and anxiety, perhaps it's best to talk to your doctor about treatments or medications you can take when you are feeling particularly edgy. there are some meds which can "take the edge off" and help tremendously.
I sure hope you start feeling better.. take care

the best will be for you to do a few things at the same time. vitamine C, especially if you smoke as the smoke eats that vitamine, 1000 mg. a day.
st-john`s worth, 1 pill will mildly relaxes you, 2 pills, deeper relaxation, and 3 pills will help you sleep better.
also B complex, B 100 or any B`s for as long as it`s over 50B.
flaxseed is also a very good way, but it`s good for the skin as it has both omega3 and 6. it won`t help you for your anxiety attacks.
and now the last, go outside for a long walk when you feel that way

There are herbal tranquillisers in your local health store. However, you would do better to try meditation, relaxation, and visualisation as these are more likely to deal with the root cause of the problem.
Popping pills is the "old" way. Nowadays, we try to tackle causes, not just blot out symptoms.
Having said that, a good one a day multivitamin and mineral combination will do no harm, and may very likely be helpful if you are deficient in anything (B vitamins are implicated in nervous disorders). Choose one that contains selenium, which indicates a fairly comprehensive mix.
