On the contrary, it gives us reason to make the most of this one. Like worrying about a school exam, encourages a student to make the most of their time in class and private study. If there is no next life then this is all there is, and so its pointless, you can be self indulgent or disinterested and it doesn't make a scrap of difference.

I don't think we should worry in a fearful manner but we should consider seriously that if we are asked to account for our decisions in this life, that we have good answers ready. If there is no accounting to be done, it is still good to do good for the good it does. Giving account, isn't limited to the next life, we all have to face our self at the end of each day and ask if we made good use of our time.

As enjoyment of life is a major issue in your question, I have to ask what makes life enjoyable. For me, enjoyment is felt as a result of fulfilment and fulfilment infers a plan. If there is no next life, from where do we get a plan for this life?

Worry is like a giant magnet that attracts Trouble.
Best thing to do is flush the source of worry: law,
as if such law were dung, shouldn't be
touched, tasted, handled: Col 2:20-22.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
