Again, is there anyway to get stations and not have cable or satalite in Grand Rapids, MI? My son is paying so much for cable that is unreal. Is there anything cheap in GR,MI for cable. He CANNOT HAVE SATALITE at his apartment.

It depends on what stations your son considers MANDATORY. If he's willing to live with just the broadcast channels (NBC,CBS,ABC,CW,FOX,PBS) plus whatever else the Comcast throws in, he could switch to the "Limited Basic" tier of service. That's usually around $15/month. You may have toi pester the cable co to even tell you that this is available.

The other option is an antenna. Rabbit ears or one of the Terk units, depending on how far he is from the station transmitters. Check out antennaweb.org

He can go back to the LOCAL TV stations...but that's not entertaining enough...

And since he pays UNGODLY amounts for cable, he has 2 choices...

Stay there and be stuck with CABLE

MOVE and get SATELLITE....
He can try a Trailer or Preferably a home.
Home ownership has always been the "American Dream".
