Is it possible to be an expert atheist? If not, why not. And if it is possible, then what special skill or body of knowledge would entitle a person to be called an expert?

An expert atheist would be an atheist to know very much about religions, and who could sustain his point of view in front of anybody (no matter how religious).

who knows..nowadays there are experts even in finding a flat to rent...or finding a job for you..or a stafffor your firm..ha ha..actually the expert is the man who works..
well i think that being expert means owning a very clear and exhaustive information about an important subject or field..and having also proofs...
an engineer is an expert. a well informed teacher who read more in a field is also an expert(e.g reading the works of Newton ..not only reproducing some information given by encyclopedies..who here say what Newton says ..Newton saying this believing in God..and there saying that the people of the planet are evolved from Apes ..in the same book..haha
but i think christians are more then experts...I haven't heard about John the Baptiser the expert.....God..forgive me..well i am afraid to laugh when it comes to talk about saints...but they say that there was a saint who used to make the monks laugh from time to time.....

I'm not sure. I mean, I see all the time that Atheists state "you can not Prove a negative"... so how could you become an expert in it? Almost sounds like something Monty Python would put in one of their skits.

I'm a level 21 Atheist.
But seriously, one can become a theologian so why not an anti-theologian?
Showing various reasons on why God most likely doesn't exist.
I just wouldn't expect a degree for it anywhere.
